Rays of Grace Junior School vs. St Mary’s Primary School

The 2024 FUFA Odilo Primary Schools National Championship in the Boys Category will be climaxed on Thursday 21st, November, 2024, at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru and the finals will see two (2) time champions, Rays of Grace Junior School face off with debutants, St Mary’s Primary School.
The 4th edition of the Boys category, which kicked off on Saturday, has reached its pinnacle with the National Tittle set to be decided on Thursday between the two finalists who will be meeting for the second time in this year’s Championship following their group B encounter that went 5-1 in favour of St Mary’s Primary School.
Despite their slow start, Buganda region representatives, Rays of Grace Junior School reorganised, found their rhythm, and showed their Championship mettle when they defeated Paorinher Nursery and Primary School (Northern Region) by 3-0 on day 2 before thrashing Source of Hope (Eastern Region) by 6-0 on the final group fixture.
On the semi-finals, Rays of Grace Junior School registered a 1-0 hard fought win over St Catherine of Siena (Kitara Region) thanks to a lone goal from their skipper, Hamis Nalapa to book a slot in the finals.
Elsewhere, St Mary’s Primary School (Kampala Region) ejected Oasis Primary School (West Nile) by 2-1 scoreline to progress into the finals in the first semi final of the day.
Post their impressive win over Rays of Grace on day one, St Mary’s played to a one all draw with Source of Hope before wrapping up the group fixtures with a 1-0 hard fought win over St Catherine of Siena.
Before the finals, football lovers will first be entertained by 3rd place, play off between Oasis Primary School and St Catherine of Siena at 9AM.
