Late singer Mowzey Radio’s mother Jane Kasuubo has turned to the public seeking money to the tune of Shs350 million with which she intends to purchase the land leading to his son’s grave in Kagga, Nakawuka in Wakiso District.
While speaking to the press, Ms. Kasuubo revealed how she has been in talks with the owners of the land and some have agreed to sell pieces of it to her.
The owner of the larger chunk of land, however, demands for Shs350m to part with it.
Jane Kasuubo also revealed how she approached UNMF leader Eddy Kenzo about the matter and he made a few promises that he is yet to keep.
She believes that when the land is acquired, it will ease visitors’ access to Mwozey Radio’s grave which has now turned into a tourist attraction with a couple of renowned figures including Jamaican singer Konshens having visited the place.
I ran to Kenzo (Eddy) with a cry for help. He promised to come and take a tour of the land but he has never come. I was asked for Shs350m. I need this land, what makes it complicated is that the owner of the land is not freely willing to sell it because it there is a house on it. But if we buy this land, it will ease access to his (Mowzey Radio’s) final resting place.
