In an appearance on Sanyuka TV’s popular show Bigenda Bitya, actress and singer Hellen Lukoma posed a thought-provoking question: “If we are sharing everything, then why not phones? What are you hiding?”
During the interview, the host Annatalia Oze asked Hellen if it is reasonable for women to check their husbands’ phones, especially since many are told not to question their partners yet are still expected to maintain loyalty on both sides.
Hellen’s response was direct:
If we are sharing everything, then what’s there to hide? If you are in my body parts, sharing my DNA, and we are in a committed relationship, why not share the phone as well?
She said that if she is excluded from something as simple as her partner’s phone, she questions the nature of the relationship or marriage.
To her, transparency is key, and a phone should be no exception.
