Darlington, a videographer at Zero One Media, has come forward to clarify the circumstances surrounding Pretty Nicole’s role as a vixen in Mikie Wine’s latest music video, “Kankutekemu.”
The singer and his team have faced mounting criticism on social media, with some accusing them of exploiting a minor in an adult-themed video.
Darlington revealed that he took deliberate steps to ensure everything was done professionally and within legal bounds.
According to Darlington, Nicole had expressed interest in pursuing an acting career when they first met at his office in Freedom City.
When the opportunity arose for her to feature as a vixen in Mikie Wine’s video, Darlington saw it as a chance to help her further her acting aspirations.
To avoid any potential fallout, Darlington suggested that a formal agreement be made. He also sought and obtained permission from Pretty Nicole’s mother, who approved her daughter’s involvement in the video and signed the agreement.
Darlington stressed that Nicole was not left unsupervised during the filming process. For instance, when they filmed at Forest Resort in Lweza, Nicole was accompanied by her guardian, who made sure she was safely returned home after the shoot.
