Ugandan singers Grenade Official and Rickman Manrick are open to settling their longstanding differences in a boxing ring.
In September 2024, Grenade Official and Rickman were involved in a bar brawl which also involved Sheilah Gashumba at La Terazza Bar, Kisementi.
The brawl which is believed to have been sparked off due to the two artists’ former romantic ties with Sheilah left Rickman bleeding with a cut lip, and Grenade had to hide from authorities for a while.
The two met again at the Galaxy FM studios and during the interview, Rickman revealed that he still has personal issues with Grenade.
“I have no issues with Grenade and his music. My issues are with Grenade as a person, as Deus Nduggwa. I actually love his music,” Rickman said.
Rickman, however, refused to shake Grenade’s hand “I can’t (shake his hand). I have my issues with that and I cannot shake his hand.”
When a celebrity boxing fight was proposed between them, Rickman was open to the idea of battling it out with Grenade in a closed ring.
“Whoever is willing to organize that bout, I’m ready,” Rickman said. Grenade however said he “would have to think about it.”
