Singer and actress Hajjat Faridah Stecia Mayanja has cleared the air concerning accusations that she bewitched fellow singer Carol Nantongo.
During an interview, Stecia denied having ever practiced witchcraft and entering a shrine with the motive of seeing a fellow artist get setbacks in their music career.
She maintained that she practices Islam and wakes up at 3:00 AM everyday for ‘Tahajjud’ – an Islamic prayer that protects her from all the evil practices that may be sent her way.
Stecia Mayanja said she doesn’t hate Carol Nantongo as she is a junior to her and someone she cannot wish evil.
I swear I have never stepped in a shrine to bewitch Carol Nantongo. What I only do is to perform the Islamic night prayer at 3 AM that protects me from evil and negativity. I urge everyone who cares to follow suit.
Hajjat Stecia Mayanja dismissed the allegations following an interview in which Nantongo appeared and seemed to be accusing her of practicing witchcraft against her.
Stecia also spoke about her recent travel to Canada saying she had left the country for improved treatment but the bills were too high, and she resorted to doing odd jobs to survive.
She later enrolled for a course Health Care Aide (HCA) and upon completion, she started taking care of patients.
