The Sugar manufacturing company as they’re celebrating a century while in sugar manufacturing business in Uganda have organised a gold tournament in Lugazi, Buikwe district.
The tournament dubbed Lugazi Sugar Centenary Golf Tournament shall be held for three days between 21 and 23 November, 2024 at 18-Hole Lugazi Course.
The tournament that was launched on Monday at Mandela Group head office in Industrial Area- Kampala is to be financed by City Tyres.
At the event, Lugazi Sugar was represented by Naduvethussery Joseph -CEO procurement who revealed the tournament programme as the company that was established in 1924 celebrating the 100 years of existence.
According to Joseph, the professionals will play their round on 21 and 22nd, then Amateurs shall play for the all three days.
Herbert Bashasha, the chief Marketing Manager of Mandela Group revealed that the winners of the three categories shall win cash prizes; professionals’ winner walks home with 10 million shillings, amateur – 8 million and women- four millions.
The Group has also put two mountain bikes up from grab.
