The inaugural edition of the Mountain Dew Uganda 3X3 basketball series that commenced in October has reached the final bend and Saturday,7th, December is the judgement day at Lugogo Hockey grounds in Kampala.
The tournament that moved all over the country had seven qualifying stops and 20 teams, eight female teams and twelve male teams booked their grand finale slots and they shall be battling for the two million shillings cash prize courtesy of Mountain Dew.
In these qualifying series, 139 teams participated across the 7 stops with 94 men’s teams and 39 women’s teams.
On Thursday at Kati Kati Restaurant Lugogo – Kampala, the qualified teams have been drawn for the finals and each learnt the opponent before Saturday clash.
The women category that has eight teams, has two groups of four, and the Male category went for four groups of three teams each.
The 12 men’s and 8 ladies’ teams qualified for the Grand Finale where the winning team in each category will walk away with UGX 2,000,000/- and each RunnerUp 1,000,000/-.
