Just moments when singer Cindy Sanyu, the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president, called for investigations into the Shs13 billion that was allocated for artists to the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), Bruno K responded.

Taking to his X platform (formerly Twitter), Bruno K applauded Eddy Kenzo for making great strides in establishing over 60 regional arts offices all over the country.

He went on to explain that each regional office is going to have a fully furnished audio recording studio that will be easily accessible to all individuals desiring to do music.

In that regard, Bruno K further noted that the Federation has since started working as he threw shed to those who are calling for investigations into the use of Shs 13 billion that was allocated to the industry.

I would like to thank UNMF for setting up over 60 regional offices all over Uganda. In a meeting that was chaired by Mr Edrisa Musuuza he told us that each of these regional offices is going to have an Audio studio that will be easily accessible to all artists. Federation etandise okola.

The tweet also sounded like a response to Nina Roz’s call demanding for copyright to be amended and implemented rather than the government just giving artists handouts.

In her request, Nina stated that if the law is effective, artists won’t need to kneel begging money from the ruling regime as their content would be paying them handsomely.
