The 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship officially kicks off on Wednesday, 23rd April 2025, in Accra Ghana with eight (8) national teams in each category.
Uganda will be represented by St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende and St Noa Girls School Zzana in the Boys and Girls category, respectively.
St Mary’s Boarding School will be up against the hosts, Ghana with the game to kick off at 2:30PM, in their opening fixture whilst St Noa Girls School Zzana battle it out with South Africa, who are the defending champions with kick off time 1:00PM Ugandan time.
In our interview with Michael Kabali, the U15 incharge coach of St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende. He said they know very well the battle ahead.

Uganda representatives in the boys’ category have five players who have been at this stage, and if they are to progress to the knockout stage, they will have to play a pivot role.
Mukwanga Ashiraf, right back, Trevor Mubiru and Ashiraf Kyakuwa who were part of the Uganda U17 national team that made history to qualify to World Cup are part of the SMASK team.
Other players who have been at this stage are Pius Kabenge and Jim Frank Wasike.
