Obedi Lubega a.k.a Reign Omusoyisoyi’s case hearing on charges of committing hate speech was adjourned until December 18th after his accusers failed to appear in court.
It should be recalled that Reign was arrested by security officers on charges of possibly being in connection with mobilising youths to participate in the #March2Parliament protests.
He was arrested from his home in Mutundwe, Rubaga South Division, and detained before being released on bail.
On his return to court, his accusers failed to appear and the judge ruled that he should return in December ordering that if his accusers fail to show face, the case will be dismissed from court.
Lawyer Nalukoola vowed to battle the witnesses that will be presented on the set date adding that it is useless to file charges against someone and fail to witness against them.
Reign thanked lawyer Nalukoola for standing with him noting that he is positive they will win the case come the 18th of December.
He added that his case is a lightweight matter that the government placed on him just out of fear because of the influence and numbers that he commands.
