Eddy Kenzo, who’s the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, has voiced his concerns about the rising levels of inappropriate dressing, explicit language, and nudity in the music industry.
Addressing the matter, Kenzo revealed plans for an upcoming meeting with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) to address this growing issue.
According to Kenzo, the UCC is working alongside other institutions to raise awareness among musicians about their cultural roles, encouraging them to act as ambassadors of Ugandan culture.
Kenzo pointed out that much of the problematic content is influenced by global trends and public demand, noting that “if the public did not consume this content, musicians would not produce it.”
