Eddy Kenzo faced “trolls” after recent photos of him with oil engineers, accompanied by his fiancée Phiona Nyamutoro, Uganda’s State Minister for Energy and Minerals, went viral but he has responded saying he doesn’t really care about any of that.
In the photos, Kenzo, who has no formal education, was seen taking notes, prompting online mockery from netizens.
However, the singer has hit back, saying the criticism is unfounded and that people should respect his choices.
Kenzo clarified his reasons for being at the event, explaining that he was simply there to support his fiancée and learn a few things.
I always look for where there’s an opportunity, and I simply escorted my fiancée to learn a thing or two. And those who wanted to know what I was writing about—it’s none of anyone’s business. Everyone has a right to do what they want.
He defended his position, urging people to respect his decisions rather than judge him for wanting to broaden his horizons beyond music.
In a separate comment after attending Allan Toniks’ concert, Kenzo praised Toniks for his impressive performance, noting how well-composed and dedicated Toniks was on stage.
I enjoyed how composed he was in his performance, and he didn’t disappoint his fans.
As for the online trolls, Kenzo remains unbothered.
I’m naturally an entertainer, so it’s fine if people troll some of the things they find funny about me.
