Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards: Charles ‘yimirirawo’ Lwanga Wins November Accolade as Veteran Journalist Gets Life Achiever’s Recognition

The on-form Sports Club Villa forward, Charles Lwanga ‘Neymar’ named the the best player of the month of November as Fortebet Uganda in conjunction with Jude Color Solutions and Real Stars Sports Agency recognise the best performers in three sports disciplines.
To win the November Accolade, Lwanga beat off the contest from Vipers SC duo of skipper, Milton Kalisa and Allan Okello.
Neymar managed to score six goals from for games, he had a poker (four goals) against UPDF at Wankulukuku and a brace against Wakiso Giants at the same venue in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The former KCCA FC forward asserted he wants to return to the Real Stars podium but again highlighted that he has to do more to achieve it.
“It’s the performance that brought me here and again it will bring me back here, yes the difference I have been this season is to understand what I want because now it’s the performance that will bring people’s attention towards me.” Said Charles Lwanga after receiving his accolade at Lazio Restaurant Lugogo on Tuesday.
“The target I set this season is 15 goals.” He added.
At the same event, Real Stars awarded a veteran Journalist, Hajji Hassan Badru Zziwa with a life achievers accolade.
The Former Daily Monitor work and the co-founder of the Observer Newspaper, thanked real stars for remembering his works and asked the younger journalists always to be behind the cameras not to be the news.
“Always be authentic, don’t rush to publish the story because whenever it comes out that you have released a fake news, your credibility dies, journalism asks us to have good stories, let your story force people to ask who are you but don’t be the news.” Zziwa advised.
“I see most online publications published duplicated stories, don’t own the story that’s not yours, it takes nothing to credit the original author.” He added.
“I continue to thank Real Stars and Fortebet for promoting talents and even recognising me with this award.”
In other sports disciplines, Henry Ssenyondo awarded the best Cricketer of the month, beating off the competition from Riazat Ali Shah and Dinesh Nakrani. The Cricket Cranes slow left arm orthodox spinner stood where the Cranes needed him most during the ICC Challenge League B first round in Entebbe and Lugogo. He managed to pick up 11 wickets for the Cranes.
In Rugby, Lydia Namabiro returned on podium for the second time this year, the first came in March, she won against her captain, Peace Lekuru and Grace Auma of Lady Rugby Cranes team.
The Africa Women’s Sevens Lady Rugby Cranes top scorer in Accra scored 11 trys for the Cranes to settle for bronze.
The team qualified for the 2025 Challenger series that kick off in early January.
Jas Mangat won the rally award after going past Ronald Ssebuguzi and Dr. Moustapha Mukasa.
The Piri Piri team leader won the Hoima Kabalega Rally that closed the NRC calender.
Mangat beat the competition of Ssebuguzi and Mukasa to win his 4th NRC championship.
And the Real Stars Sports Agency CEO, Mukasa Isaac vies for a Parliamentary Seat in Buikwe come 2026.
