As it’s their routine since 2018, Real Stars Sports Agency in conjunction with Jude Color Solutions and Fortebet Uganda have awarded the best performers for the month of March.

The historical and boxing Don in Uganda for the past 30 years, Prince Samuel Lukanga is among the beneficiaries after taking home the Life Achievers’ gong.

While receiving the accolade at the event held today (Tuesday) at Lazio Restaurant Kololo, the owner of Lukanga booxing club, Prince Samuel commended  the awards organizer for thinking big.

“To see me as a deserved  winner of this award is important, in fact it is a great vision to recognise my effort towards sports which started many years back”

Lukanga sporting life began about 60 years ago as a child playing boxing, football, Taekwondo where  he reached a black belt but also played other sports at amatuer level.

A number of successful boxers in Uganda have passed through his hands.

“Boxers are better persons than players in other sports, Boxers are loyal and trustworthy, they just can’t lie but in my ten years in football it is where I saw players announcing fake deaths and other indisciplines locating on lies, am living with several examples”

Lukanga who was inspired into Boxing by Muhammad Ali back in 1969 decided to continue serving the sport after a playing career.

Speaking about the choice, Real Stars sports agency  chief executive officer Isac Mukasa said

“No one can come near Lukanga in funding boxing, making great careers, starting up and funding many clubs, taking care of boxers, and he was again great in football with KCCA FC for 12 years, he deserves even more”

For the month of month of March, three sports disciplines were outlined; Football, Boxing and Rugby.

NEC FC forward, Paul Mucureezi won the football accolade beating the contest from KCCA’s Arafat Usama and Karim Ndugwa of BUL FC

Muzamir Kakande took the Boxing accolade and Israel Makokha won the Rugby accolade.
