News anchor Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaaya has shared some advice on how to handle cheating in marriage, drawing from her own personal experience.

Speaking about a challenging moment in her early years of marriage, Hatmah revealed how she discovered flirty messages on her husband’s phone but chose to address the issue with composure rather than anger.

The couple had been married for about four years when Hatmah stumbled upon the incriminating messages. Instead of causing a scene or shouting, she approached her husband calmly and respectfully.

“Hajj even failed to eat supper that night,” she says, adding that her calm approach prompted him to explain everything and work with her to resolve the issues.

Hatmah says that shouting or reacting angrily when catching a spouse cheating often bruises their ego, leading to defensive or hostile reactions that could jeopardize the relationship.
