Before his passing, Joseph Tamale Mirundi requested that his residences in Zana, Kabalagala, Kyengera, and his home village each host two-day vigils in his honor before burying him.
Tamale Mirundi passed away yesterday night at Kibuli Hospital ICU.
Before his passing, Tamale Mirundi had been battling lung complications since July. Despite his declining health, Mirundi remained vocal and clear about how he wanted to be remembered.
In one of his interviews with Kasuku, Mirundi outlined specific instructions for his burial arrangements.
He requested that his residences in Zana, Kabalagala, Kyengera, and his home village each host two-day vigils in his honor.
These vigils, however, are not to be somber events.
Mirundi wished for celebrations filled with music, food, and plenty of alcoholic beverages, reflecting his lively personality and desire for a spirited send-off.
