Singer Jowy Landa, real name Joan Namugerwa, reveals that a shortage of funds led to her dropping out of school before she made a hit song that kickstarted her music career.
Jowy Landa‘s music career started with the cover of John Blaq’s hit song Obubadi which received so much attention from some of the top industry players.
She was later contacted by Pallaso who then mentored her into an independent artist, recording new music that has turned her into a considerably renowned music brand.
Now under Team No Sleep, Jowy Landa says she is fully focused on music and has no plans of going back to school.
I stopped in Senior Six because there was a shortage of funds at home and around that time I made a hit song. I decided to follow my music career path to get enough money to later return to school but music is stressful. If I add school to it, I might not manage. So my focus is on music now, everything else will come later on.
