Kampala Region kicked off the journey to get the cream of teams from different sports disciplines that will represent them in the the 2025 finals of the Uganda Secondary schools Sports Association Ball Games II set to be held in Tororo District in July this year.
The region has kicked off with the Under sixteen and Under fifteen boys football qualifiers and the action was held on Tuesday at Kibuli SS.
The preliminary stage was held today with Kawempe Muslim SS, Caltec Academy Makerere, Kibuli SS and Kakungulu Memorial progress to semifinals.

“Today we started our qualifiers with the boys of U16 and U14 here at Kibuli SS” Ssentongo Abbey, Kampala Region organising secretary told this website before adding. “The qualifiers will climax on Friday 20,June 2025 again here at Kibuli SS.”
“We’re going to have other disciplines, starting on Thursday, that’s; netball, basketball 3*3, Volleyball and handball and Friday will be the final day.” Explained.
Back on the pitch, Kawempe Muslim SS shared spoils in both of their group stage matches, went goalless against Caltec Academy Makerere before dropping points in the dying minutes of the match against Mengo Senior School, thanks to Solomon Muwanguzi late strike that cancelled Muwonge Fahim first half header.
In the day’s derby fixture, Kakungulu Memorial beat Kibuli SS 1-0 in an epic encounter before Caltec Academy Makerere hammered Mengo 4-0 in the day’s closing fixture.
Kampala region will be represented by one school in each category.
