Lil Pazo real name Mukasa Yasin has come under fire for alleged copyright infringement. The legal representatives of the late Kato Paul Lubwama, Maldes Advocates, have issued a letter demanding immediate action against what they describe as a clear case of intellectual property violation.

The late Kato Paul Lubwama was a composer and the original creator of the song “Kilabe Ebiiso.”

This composition, copyrighted under Lubwama’s name, has reportedly been infringed upon by Lil Pazo’s new release titled “IRENA WEeee….”

The law firm representing Lubwama’s family asserts that the lyrics, rhythm, and beat of Lil Pazo’s song are a direct replica of Lubwama’s original work.

The letter from Maldes Advocates outlines several demands that Lil Pazo must comply with within 14 days to avoid legal action:

  1. Immediate Removal: Lil Pazo is required to take down the infringing song from all media platforms.
  2. Formal Apology: He must offer a formal apology for the infringement and ensure it is publicized on all platforms where the song has been played.
  3. Damages: The family of Kato Lubwama demands compensation amounting to UGX 300,000,000 (Three Hundred Million Uganda Shillings).
  4. Legal Costs: Additionally, Lil Pazo is expected to cover the legal costs incurred by Lubwama’s family, totaling UGX 20,000,000 (Twenty Million Uganda Shillings).

Failure to meet these demands within the stipulated 14-day period will result in legal proceedings against Lil Pazo.
