The 21st Edition of the Buganda Masazza Cup to kick off on Saturday as the defending champions Buddu hosts the record champions at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka City.
The Kabulasoke based team under the stewardship of Simon Ddunga has vowed to take a hero’s fight at Kitovu sports arena on Saturday despite the fact that he is visiting his former bosses.
In his words Ddungu says that all the players are in good health and mood apart from a one Sulundu who got injured during one of the preparation games but the rest are fit enough to finish the job on Saturday.
Gomba will be captained by Herbert Onen who was also shopped from Buddu expressed his readiness to face his former bosses and he is optimistic of securing points at his former hunting ground.
Gomba are the record champions with 5 trophies and their latest came in 2022 as Buddu has only three and the latest being won last year 2024.
