Sir Mathias Walukaga, the Kyengera Town Council Mayor, opened up about how he lost his three vehicles during the 2021 political campaigns.
The singer-turned-politician disclosed that he faced a lot of challenges in terms of financing his political team to achieve his goal.
He revealed how he lost his Pajero at Shs1m to a money lender known as William when he failed to pay back the money he had got on a loan after the period of time that the two had agreed on.
He narrated that he got Shs1m from William and agreed that he would pay back Shs1.3m after a period of two months, however, by the end of the agreed time, he had not yet accumulated the money and lender took his car.
Mathias Walukagga also sold off his Subaru that he had purchased it at Shs16m a year before COVID-19 struck at Shs11m. In the same effort of hunting for money for his campaigns, he was forced to sell off his Mark X that he had yet to complete its payment.
