Bobi Wine’s younger brother Michael Mukwaya a.k.a Mikie Wine does not rule out taking on a position of leadership in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
As a family, the Sentamu family has taken up top positions of leadership with Bobi Wine and Chairman Fred Nyanzi leading the opposition in their respective capacities.
Mikie Wine says he has always been a voice for the common man and he does not need a particular political position to represent the common man’s ideologies.
I don’t need an office to hold sensible conversations about issues that affect the common man because I am one of them. However much God gave me that torch to be their voice, I don’t need a position of leadership to speak out. But even then, when that time comes, we shall cross the bridge when we get there.
Mikie Wine
When asked if he intends to hold a position of leadership to add to his elder brothers’, Mikie Wine noted that he is not certain
“I don’t know but as I said, we will cross the bridge when we reach there. You never know what comes tomorrow,” Mikie Wine added.
