Motorsports: Enduro Championship Launched, Set to Commemorate Fallen Rally Stars | Voice of Bugerere

The 2025 Enduro championship got launched on Wednesday at Pearl Resort Hotel – Namataba in Mukono District. 

The championship is set to be a special one because it will be aiming at commemorating the fallen rally drivers with the most recent is Rajiv Rupaleria.

In doing this, United Motorsports club decided to call upon all drivers to be part and partial in this championship which will take place on 24 May 2025 in Mzuri Namataba Mukono district.

United Motorsports club president, Wele Johnson asserted that all is in proper line to host such a commemorative event.

“We are on our final touches to complete the remaining loopholes to see that the game of motocross is on a high altitude in Mukono district.” Were stated.

“The ministry of works together with Uganda Police have confirmed that enough deployment will be provided as far as safety is concerned.” He added.

The Chief safety for the club, Ssenkungu Moses has assured the public that safety muscles, police and all security operatives are on standby to ensure that safety is good.

“Ahead of the event,this goes to our esteemed fans particularly in motocross, should select convenient and safe view in order to create safety places to avoid loss of lives amongst the motocross supporters in Uganda and the fans in Mukono district.

Safety muscles and police always give guidelines, we call upon our fans to be compliant to those guidelines given by safety muscles and police together with other security operatives.

“The surrounding hospitals in Mukono district including national referral hospital Mulago have provided necessary health services as far as the event is concerned. 

Kawunyemu rally teams based in mukono are well prepared to win each and every trophy that the organizers came up with.

“NRC which was in Mbarara last week shaped us in good manners and we have gained momentum where the product of forces will be applied to this event in Namataba Mzuri.” 

Registration to take part in this Enduro Championship is free of charge therefore for any driver who wishes to join the championship Fmu offices at lugogo always open at any time so feel free.

Over six kilometers will be covered by a long Mzuri Namataba village and there will be a double circuit and fans will be enjoying it over the weekend. A number of senior drivers have confirmed their registration to participate in the event and these include the following drivers

9.Haji Salim Gasemba/ Another – Toyota Vitz

10.Muyanja Sabiiti /Another – Toyota Fx

11.Eddie Mukiibi/ Another – Toyota Vitz flying penguin

The event is set to ride off in the morning with screw engineering and the from 1PM to 5PM shall be action time before the awarding ceremony.
