The first edition of the Mountain Dew UG 3×3 Series tipped off on Saturday, the 19th October 2024 at Makerere Pool Court. 

Grimm Reapers won the men’s category as 3 Peat crowned the champions of the Women’s category and each won 400,000/- prize money.

To win the Kampala circuit, Grimm Reapers beat Team Clan 7-4 in an epic final.

Grim Reapers labored past Team Tea Time in a 13-12 semi-final contest to reach the final.

3 PEAT won 15-09 over MUBS Elite in the final to seal a Grand finale slot in the Women category. In the semi-finals, they won 11-05 against MUBS Ballers.

Senade Miriam from 3 Peat who had the most rebounds was named the Most Valuable Player of the circuit in the women category.

Moses Mandiria from the champions, Grimm Reapers was the top scorer and was named the MVP for men category.

The prize money at this Kampala stop circuit was UGX 400,000 for the winner and UGX 200,000 for the runner-up in both the men and women’s categories.

The first circuit has attracted 60 players constituting ten (10) men and five (5) women teams. Forty (40) men and (20) women took part in the first Kampala circuit.

There will be more seven (7) stops across the country before the Grand finale on 7th December at Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala.

3 Peat the winners against MUBS Elites

A total of 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams will qualify for the Grand Finale that is scheduled for Saturday 7th December 2024.

The winning men and women’s teams will each walk away with UGX 2,000,000 (Two million).

The prize money at each stop is UGX 400,000 for the winner and UGX 200,000 for the runner-up in both the men and women’s categories, the winners and runner’s up of the Kampala circuit walked home with their cash.
