Muhammad Ssegirinya discharged from hospital after six months of treatment

Honorable Muhammad Ssegirinya, the member of parliament for Kawempe North, has been discharged from the hospital after being ill for six months.

He underwent treatment in Nairobi to receive the care he needed. Now, back home, he was advised to take a period of rest and recovery amounting to 3-months away from gatherings and activities. He will return to Uganda on Monday, 24th.

Ssegirinya got ill after his release from prison where he had spent almost two years on charges of crafting machete attacks in Greater Masaka.

When he first got ill, he was moved to Germany and the Netherlands before being moved to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya where he has spent 186 days.

His immediate family expressed gratitude to the government of Uganda, members of Parliament, friends, and family who have showered them with love and support during their time of need.
