The faster raising star, Ayaa Gloria gets the Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards nomination for the second consecutive year in Netball category.
Ayaa Gloria got her first full international tournament with She Cranes in December of 2024.
The National Insurance Corporation swift defender was one of the key starters in She Cranes team that won a silver medal of the 2024 Africa Netball Championship held in Namibia.
For starters,She Cranes lost to South Africa in the final.
The Kampala University student is in contest with two other She Cranes stars, shooter, Mary Nuva Cholhok and workaholic mid court player, Margaret Baagala.
This is the second time Ayaa is competing for this monthly Accolade sponsored by Fortebet Uganda and Jude Color Solutions, her first attempt came in May of 2023 and she eventually won it following her MVP performance she displayed in East Africa Netball Championship, NIC Netball club won.
The other categories that shall need winners, are; Football and boxing.
In football, the under 17 (Cubs) forward, James Bogere following his amazing performance in the just concluded CECAFA U17 championship hosted by Uganda and won by the same side is in contest with on form Kitara FC forward, Jude Ssemugabi and Vipers SC lethal attacking midfielder, Allan Jolly Okello.
In boxing, champions League lover boy, Owner Kibira, Nuhu Batte and Ezra Ssali shall fight for December glory.
The awarding ceremony is expected to be held on Tuesday next week at Lazo Restaurant Kololo.
