Patience Rwabwogo, President Museveni’s third-born and Pastor of the Covenant Nations Church, testified during a church service how she and her husband, Odreck Rwabwogo, narrowly avoided losing their home in Buziga to a bank over mortgage issues.

Eighteen years ago, the couple purchased their home, cleared the down payment, and began making regular mortgage payments.

They relied on the income from their business to manage these payments. However, they encountered business struggles, which led to them falling behind on their mortgage payments.

As the overdue payments accumulated, so did the interest.

The situation escalated to the point where the bank sent them a letter, warning that their home would be advertised for sale if they did not settle the outstanding interest and bring their account up to date within seven days.

Patience Rwabwogo expressed gratitude for what she described as God’s intervention and that by God’s grace, they managed to gather the necessary funds, pay the interest, and update their account.
