The pipe manufacturing company, OM Plastech Uganda Limited in conjunction with Plumbing Technician Association of Uganda (PTA) have officially launched a Multi-3 layer PPR pipes and a plumbing App.
The official launch of this advanced innovation in the country took place on Sunday in Industrial Park – Namanve.
According to manufacturers and the Plumbing Association, the new innovation is in place to reduce cost of production and for customers to have friendly price.
In their explanation, the new PPR pipes are durable and they asked government and locals to continue embrace BUBU ( Buy Uganda Build Uganda).
The PTA General secretary Byansi George expressed his gratitude towards the new innovations brought by OM Plastech.
“It’s a great pleasure to have partnership with OM plastech Uganda limited, they have come up with an idea of having workshops for our plumbing sector, as plumbing Technician association of Uganda (PTA),we have received over 100 students in different institutes and this is done because so many students lacked industrial training. ” Said PTA General secretary.
“We have also developed an app called plumbing app , this app was introduced to eliminate all masqueraders in our plumbing sector and this time round, clients should jubilate.” He added
Managing director OM Plastech Limited Mukesh Gondaria also spoke about the new innovations.
“We have got the idea of PR Multi 3 Layer pipes after attending an international exhibition and we were taught how manufacture such products in Uganda and we managed to identify the standards, now we have pipes for hot water and Cold water and it contains 3 layers each pipe and it ranges from 20mm-210mm.” He stated.
” Since these pipes are hard and strong, our clients will be served with genuine products but we ask the government to reduce on taxes to enable such growing industry to grow faster”.he added.
