Prominent tweeps and KFM’s Faiza Salima sent to Luzira Prisons on remand following protests

KFM presenter Faiza Salima Fabz was sent to Luzira prisons on remand alongside four other vocal tweeps following the #March2Parliament protests that happened in different areas of Kampala on Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

Faiza Fabz, photojournalist Baron Edgar Hamala, blogger and influencer Bernard Olupot Ewalu, doctor Thomas Kanzira, and Aljab Musinguzi have been sent to Luzira until 30th July 2024.

The five were arrested at Oasis Mall, Nakumatt on Tuesday morning and detained at Jinja Road Police Station before being arraigned before the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court.

UPDATE: NTV Uganda and KFM Radio host Faiza Fabz, and 3 others -detained over the March to Parliament protests- have been remanded to Luzira Prison until July 30, 2024.

They have been charged for being a “common nuisance, idle and disorderly.” #MonitorUpdates
