Recording music critic Jenkins Mukasa has urged artists to try and find a possible solution to separate music from politics.
The “Tugende” singer explained that the earlier artists find a solution, the better the music industry will get and things will return to normal.
He notes that if artists continue politicizing music, musicians from either camp are destined to face rough and tough times of holding flopped concerts.
He wants music to remain independent.
We warned artists that ever since music and politics interjected, no one won’t suffer. Artists of either side will taste and face the consquences. I call upon musicians to get rid of politics from the music business. Music should be done on its own as a stand alone business.
Jenkins Mukasa aired his views following the recently concluded shows that happened over the weekend which attracted low turn-ups.
He added that politics has greatly affected the music industry which is not good for the future of the arts sector.
