The draws for the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations qualifiers, Kayunga District had their draws held on Saturday 1st, March 2025 at Bugerere Modern High School Busaana.
Thirty-two (32) schools turned up and were drawn in eight (8) groups of four (4) teams each where top eight (8) performing teams from last edition were seeded each in a group.
“I call upon you to prepare strong teams such that you represent us well in this year’s Qualifiers and have schools at National Championship.” Said Sserunkuma, the chairman of Kayunga District Secondary schools sports association.
“Let’s make these games popular by preparing teams and avoiding attacking our friends before, during, and after matches. This will help us get sponsors”. Added the chairman
St Mark High School Kayunga, who is believed to be a sporting school, has been drawn in Group D alongside Kanjuki Secondary School, Fountain of Hope High School from Bukeeka, and Outspan Secondary School from Nazigo. Their group games will be played at Kitatya Secondary School.
District defending champions, St Mathias Kalemba Nazigo as seeded in group A alongside Kayunga Light College, Uganda Martyrs Centenary (Kangulumira) and Kitimbwa Bright Future. Group games will be played at Ndeeba Church of Uganda.
St year’s finalists, Namagabi Secondary School is in group B alongside Bbaale Secondary School, Mark’s Oasis from Nakirubi, and Green Valley High School Suuka. Group B games will be played at Busaana Town Council Playground.
Mt Carmel Education Center from Kyerima, who finished 3rd last year, is in group C alongside Hopeful Future SS Ntooke, Bugerere High School Busaana, and Musiitwa Seed School. Their group games will be played at Namagabi Secondary School.
The top four best performing schools will represent Kayunga District in this year’s Mukono Zonal Qualifiers, which will be hosted in by Kayunga.
Mukono zone will be represented by four schools in this year’s national championship set to be hosted by Ngora High School in Eastern Uganda
