The 2025 edition of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association ball Games one championship officially climaxed on Tuesday at Bukedea Stadium in Bukedea District.

St Noa Girls SS -Zana were crowned the champions in girls football after beating Amus College 5-3 via spot kicks following a one all stalemate in normal time.

Speed merchant Sylvia Kabene scored for Noa, but the latter’s lead was cancelled by Nabwoba Eunice long range strike that came in the second stanza of the match.

Only three minutes into the final match, Kabene handed the 2022 champions a lead with a far post strike but in the second stanza, Amus College leveled through Nabwoba Eunice long range strike that needed the center referee to consult the fourth official to prove where the ball crossed the line.

After leveling the matters, Amus players’ body languages showed that they want to settle the matter in spot kicks like they did against Kawempe Muslim at semifinal, however, it didn’t work their way this time round.

St Noa Girls emerged victors, thanks to  Atieromungu Victoria of Amus who pressed her penalty off target losing 5-3 and handed St Noa a fantastic journey to Zzana.

St. Noa Girls lifted their second trophy since joining girls football and their first came in 2022 in Gulu. And this was a perfect revenge for the Jimmy Kintu coached side, they lost to Amus on final of 2023 in Mbarara.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim skipper, Agnes Nabukenya won the top scorers’ gong, the free scoring midfielder netted 15 goals in seven played matches.

In the same line, Dorcus Kisakye still from Kawempe Muslim who left Bukedea people contented with girls football existance managed to convince the cabinet that she was indeed the Most valuable player (MVP),Lillian Nakirya of St.Noa who is a true definition of a leader(Cpt) conceded only three goals in seven matches making her the best in the department owning the golden glove regardless of the injuries she still stood tall for the Zzana girls.
