The Luweero zone Secondary Schools Sports Associations Boys and Girls Football qualifiers kicked off on Tuesday 15th, April with exciting football matches at Bamusuuta Secondary School, Kiboga district.
Standard High School Ndejje and Ndejje Secondary School registered statements with resounding victories defeating Migyera Union Vision SS and Kisenyi Lake View by 5-0 respectively.
In Group F played at Kibiga Primary School, Standard High School Ndejje had their goal scored by Kizza Abdul Karim with a hat trick, Victor Lubega and Gumu Griffin.
In other group (F) games, Savior High School Kiboga defeated Timuna Secondary School from Nakaseke by 2-1 score line. Kakande Lawrence and Vicent Kikomeko scored for Savior High School, while the lone goal for Timuna was scored by Ssematengo Mike Bbosa.
The last group game, Timuna Secondary School, came from a goal down to overturn results and defeat Victoria High School Vvumba by 2-1.
Ivan Mulungi scored the quickest goal in this year’s Luweero Zone qualifiers shooting from the center and Timuna Secondary School goalkeeper failed to save it as early as 10 seconds.
Timuna Secondary School through Dennis Kizito with a goal from each half helped his side overturn results and register their first victory in this year’s qualifiers in two games.
In group A played at Busakya playground, Luweero Zone defending champions, Luweero Secondary School played to a barren draw (0-0) with Shanamu Bombo, Blessed Seed SS shared spoils in a two all (2-2) with Wabinyonyi Seed School before defeating Shanamu Bombo by a slim 1-0 win.
In group B at Kigando, Ndejje Secondary School played to a 2 all draw with Mulama SS before defeating Kisenyi Lake View by 5-0
Action returns on Wednesday at all the six playgrounds in Bamusuuta SS, Vvumba Playground, Kibiga Primary School, Busakya Playground, Kigando, and Kyahimba playground.
