Shifrah, real name Maria Mutoni, the lady who appeared in the Hozambe viral video, has asked for a collaboration with Kenyan music icon David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless.
Nameless is in Uganda ahead of his performance at the Blankets And Wine Festival. During an interview on Sanyuka TV, the singer met Shifrah and revealed how her video reminded her of his old days with his wife, Wahu.
He noted how they did the Shifrah challenge just to relive their campus days and how the video has also helped them connect with their fans.
Immediately I saw that video, I just related with it. It reminded me of when I was just starting my music career with my girlfriend Wahu who is now my wife. Just how Shifrah was sitting very proudly on D Star’s lap, reminded me.
My wife has always been my number one fan and I told her we should do the challenge to connect with the fans. My secondborn is the one who recorded it. When we posted it, it went viral. Shifrah’s eyes are as big as my wife’s.
