Ugandan music duo K&K Music, formerly Kataleya and Kandle, has thanked its former management for the exposure it gave them at the start of their career and revealed their vision for the future.

Now with a trending hit song, a collaboration with Vinka dubbed ‘Tompa’, the K&K Music duo feels in a good place to steadily rise again after an 8-month hiatus.

The duo consisting of Hadijah Namakula (Kataleya) and Rebecca Robins Nabatuusa (Kandle) says the future looks bright but they wouldn’t have been able to achieve that without the efforts of their former management.

In an interview with Dius Walugembe of The Truth Media, K&K Music revealed how they are still facing financial challenges but are grateful for the support they have received from their fans and the media.

We are grateful for where we came from because you wouldn’t have known us if it weren’t for them. But also, you can never wish to leave a good place. By the time you get up and leave a place then you have tried to persevere in the situation and failed.

We thank the people who have stood with us, the media, and even those who spoke ill of us. We are not bad people, we are very calm and we have not really faced huge challenges coming back because people are willingly supporting us.

Financially, everything is expensive and we have to mobilize ourselves to do things. We are working almost three times as hard as we used to. Some things fail but we are grateful that we are no longer upcoming. We have a vision and we are brave enough to go all the way.
