Uganda’s talented Hypers Kids Africa dance group has shared their unforgettable experience performing on stage in the United States alongside global stars Akon, Burna Boy, and comedian Kevin Hart.
For these young dancers, stepping onto an international platform with such renowned icons was a dream come true.
Recalling the moment, Kapilipiti, one of the dancers expressed how surreal it felt to share the stage with Akon.
We couldn’t believe we were performing with Akon in the USA. It was amazing, and we felt like we were representing Uganda in a big way.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian star, personally requested to meet the Hypers Kids, making the experience even more special for the group.
Burna Boy wanted to meet us and talk to us. We were excited and a bit nervous, but he made us feel comfortable. After chatting, he even asked for a picture with us!
Meeting Kevin Hart was another highlight of the trip. Although they only had a brief moment with the comedian, the Hypers Kids recalled how friendly and encouraging he was.
Kevin Hart was so supportive. He told us to keep doing what we love, and that meant a lot coming from him.
