David Lutalo opened up about his humble beginnings and the challenges he faced before making a name for himself in the music industry which included charcoal burning for survival.
Before his breakthrough, Lutalo did a variety of casual jobs to survive, including bricklaying and, most notably, burning charcoal.
Without any formal profession to rely on, he had to take on whatever work he could find.
I used to burn charcoal because I didn’t have any professional job.
For Lutalo, this work was a stepping stone, a way to support himself until he could find a better opportunity.
Growing up in a village in Luweero, Lutalo faced several challenges. However, his determination and belief in his dreams kept him going.
Reflecting on his journey, Lutalo stated the importance of starting small and trusting the process. He encouraged young people today to embrace humble beginnings rather than expecting instant success.
