Bebe Cool had a rough first encounter with Shanks Vivie D when he was trying to approach him for a hand in his music career, but he has since learned to react better to similar situations.
In the past, Shanks Vivie D—one of the celebrated artists in Uganda—was a gem who inspired several other top artists who followed his path, including Bebe Cool.
Bebe, however, didn’t have the best first encounter with the Bundu singer.
The Gagamel boss remembers trying to approach Shanks when he visited Capital FM for an interview and Shanks ordered security to throw him out of the building.
At the time, Bebe Cool had yet to record his first song and was only trying to gather the connections to launch his career.
He notes that it was such an embarrassing first encounter with someone he believed in and he has since decided to react better to similar situations.
He (Shanks Vivie D) was hard to approach. I followed him up to the station and they called him out of the studio saying there was a rising artist who wanted to speak to him. Upon seeing me, he just instructed the security to throw me out of the building and I was harshly ejected from the building.
He was the biggest star in Uganda, I had only wanted to ask him to give me a hand because I believed in my talent quite much. The rough treatement I got was so embarassing.
