Celebrities including Karole Kasita, Jackie Chandiru, and Judith Heard have echoed their support to fellow star Winnie Nwagi’s response to continued allegations by rising singer Bizzy Nateete concerning the paternity of her daughter.
For over a week now, the little-known Bizzy Nateete has been spreading propaganda claiming to be the father to Winnie Nwagi’s daughter, Destiny Mirembe.
He claimed that he was once in an affair with the Swangz Avenue singer and the result of their romance was the child but he has for a long while been denied access to the teenager.
Despite initially giving the allegations no attention, Nwagi eventually comes out with a response in which she threatens to sue Bizzy.
In a statement released via social media, Nwagi’s label Swangz Avenue revealed that the allegations are “completely baseless” and false.
Nwagi now intends to take legal action against Bizzy Nateete for defamation and significant damage inflicted upon her reputation.
“We are actively pursuing legal action and the significant damage inflicted upon my reputation. Furthermore, this situation has escalated to cause distress and bullying towards my daughter at school, which is unacceptable,” the statement partly reads.
Judith Heard believes Nwagi’s step will be exemplary for other people who want to chase clout by spreading baseless allegations about celebrities.
Karole Kasita has also marveled at Nwagi’s strength and how she has managed to stay calm under the circumstances. Several other celebrities and netizens have since aired their opinions on the developments.
