Ugandan Dancehall singer Cinderella Sanyu maintains that fusing different concepts from movies and music videos to create the “Full Package” visuals makes it a fresh video to watch.
Cindy Sanyu’s song “Full Package” has been criticized heavily by entertainment critics who note that she merely copied and pasted concepts from different other videos.
They claim the songstress lacked originality and had to copy ideas from movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Matrix, and music videos including Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” among others.
While speaking to The Truth Gossip, Cindy noted that fusing ideas created fresh visuals and that no one had done a video like hers.
That is new, I don’t know why people think it’s not new. Nobody has done a video like that. It took a lot of money and time to bring it out the way it is in the movie, especially the Wakanda shot and that’s what makes it a new idea because no one has done it.
I understand a person who could look at it from the angle of Copy Cat and we even talked about it with Sasha Vybz. I had refused the idea when he (Sasha Vybz) brought it forward coz I always pay attention to my fans’ and haters’ opinions.
I knew they would immediately think I was copying. There is that camp that finds it hard to understand my angle of things.
