Uganda is still dominating football discipline in the ongoing 13th edition of the Eastern Africa University Games in Maseno Kenya.
The Pearl of Africa was represented by ten Universities but eight have confirmed their participation at the round of sixteen that kicks off on Wednesday at different playgrounds.
Though the goals are still few in the tournament, Uganda is still dominating with defending champions, Bugema University still holding the 100% record after will all the three matches in his group, Mountains of the Moon, Makerere University Business School, Uganda Martyrs University and Makerere University each secured seven points.
Islamic University in Uganda qualified with five points, Kampala University and Busitema University each stormed round of sixteen with four points.
The Mukono based side UCU, Bishop Stuart University are the only Uganda’s sides yet to secure a win but with two points each but also stand a chance to come as best losers.
According to organizers, the round of sixteen and quarterfinals are to be honored on the same date, that is Wednesday 18th December 2024.
The confirmed Universities from Uganda to play round of sixteen; Uganda Martyrs University, Bugema University, Busitema University, Mountains of the Moon University, Kampala University, Islamic University in Uganda, Makerere University, Makerere University Business School.
