Lady Doves FC most influential player in the last two months of the 2024/25, Resty Kobusobozi’s efforts yielded big in dry January.
The speedy forward named the Finance Trust Bank Woman best player of the month of December following her amazing performance in the same month, scoring seven goals, winning three player of the match awards.
She beats off the competition from Kampala Queens duo, Shamusa Najjuma and Shamirah Nalugya.
“I want to extend my sincerest appreciation to Finance Trust Bank and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations for their unwavering support.
At this moment, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, and I can only say thank you for the prayers and well wishes. This award is not just a recognition of my efforts but also a testament to the hard work and dedication of my teammates, coaches, and loved ones.” Said Kobusobozi upon recieving her accolade in the press conference held on Wednesday at Twed Plaza (Finance Trust Bank main branch).
“Winning this award is a testament to my faith in Jesus Christ, my self-belief, and the trust I have in my teammates and technical team. This award means the world to me, and I’m confident it will propel me to even greater heights because I want to be a top scorer this season.” She added.
Finance Trust Bank head of Strategy, Wasswa Francis confirmed that the bank will continue supporting the girl child.

In the same presser, Kampala tactician, an import from Ethiopia Asefa Firew Hailegebrealar was awarded Coach of the Month after playing 4 games and winning 3 and drawing one.
The Ethiopian beat off the contest from November winner, Faridah Bulega of Amus WFC and Lady Doves’ Alinaitwe Fred.
For starters, the second round of the finance Trust Women Super League resumes this weekend with six fixtures on various venues.
