The former Africa Rally championship winner late Charles Muhangi has been recognized and he has received this month’s Life Achiever’s Award that was received by his wife (widow).
This is a legendary guy as far as rally is concerned, is the only Ugandan who have won the Africa championship title, it was 1999 after winning the NRC in 1998, he decided not to Defend it a d went for ARC, since then he was the first to win it remember but again he is the last person….. Normally we give it to Living legends but there could be no way to give it to a living legend in Motor rally, so we had to first recognize this one. ” Said Isaac Mukasa, Real Stars Sports Agency CEO.
The other winners on the day; Herbert Matovu won for boxing while Isaac Ariho took that for Woodball.
