The Real Star Sports Agency in conjunction with Fortebet Uganda and Jude Color Solutions have entered year six of celebrating the monthly best performers in different sports disciplines. 

For the month of December, three disciplines were awarded; Netball, boxing and football and the winners received their accolades on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant – Kololo and the event was graced by Isaac Mukasa (CEO Real Stars Agency) and the Buikwe Constituency aspiring MP, Fortebet Uganda Assistant Media Relations Officer, Resty Mbatidde and Henry Zzimbe of Jude Color Solutions

Margeret Baagala, the She Cranes focal player was recognised as the best player for the month of December in netball category following her iconic performance displayed in the 2024 Africa Netball Championship held in Namibia in December.

Like she has been doing in different tournaments since she joined She Cranes in 2021, Baagala continued her prowess in the Africa Netball Championship and was a pillar in Uganda’s mid court, helping the side to win the silver medal before she was named among the best seven of the tournament. 

 The workaholic midfielder court star to win the accolade beat off the competition from Mary Nuba Cholhok and She Cranes debutant, Ayaa Gloria. 

“I work hard as a person” Baagala stated before adding. “I want to use this opportunity to thank my teammates and coaches because they help me a lot to up my game as a player. I also thank Fortebet for giving me such an opportunity to appear on the podium.”

In football category, the Uganda Cubs youngster, James Bogere won the award after an impressive performance at the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) .

Bogere put in an astonishing performances during the tournament finishing as the top scorer with seven goals including the winning goal in the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) final against Tanzania at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.

Bogere netted a brilliant hat tricks against Kenya in the final group stage game and in the semi finals against Somalia. He beat off competition from Ugandan Cranes stars Allan Okello and Jude Ssemugabi. 

Boxer- Nuhu Batte

In Boxing category COBAP’s Nuhu Batte won the December award. Batte won all the five boxing bouts in the 2024 Boxing Champions League and won Walter weight category (67kg). He beat Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali for the boxing award
