Jazz saxophonist Michael Kitanda shared one of the low moments he has ever experienced as a performer while on the stage pulling off his craft.
He narrated that there was a certain time when he headed for a performance with the love of his life. As his time came to take to the stage to perform, he left her to sit in the audience.
As he commenced with his set and everything seemed to be going in the right direction, he shifted his eyes to take a look at his love. On looking there, his eyes met a strange gesture.
He saw his girlfriend being ‘managed’ by someone else he didn’t know and just like that messed up his performance.
He lost track of what he was doing but only he and his girlfriend could notice why his performance got off beat.
He forced himself to end the set prematurely because he couldn’t handle the stress and disappointment he was facing at the time.
One time I was performing while my partner was seated in the audience. So as I was performing with everything going right my spouse was busy being managed by someone else and I lost steam and morale to continue with the live performance as I couldn’t handle the situation.
