Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has returned to Uganda after Namibia declined to extend his stay for medical healing. The Kabaka had been in Namibia for health reasons since April 14, 2024.
On an Ethiopian Airlines flight, the Kabaka landed at Entebbe Airport around 11 PM. He was warmly received by Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and the royal family, led by Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda.
Speaking to the media shortly after Kabaka’s arrival, Premier Mayiga explained that the decision to take Kabaka to Namibia was based on medical recommendations for his proper recovery.
He emphasized the monarch’s ongoing recovery process and asked the public to remain patient and supportive as the Kabaka continues to follow his medical experts’ advice.
