The Uganda National examinations Board ( UNEB) has on Thursday, 14, March, released the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education results and Kyadondo Senior Secondary School is among the schools in the country that posted the greatest performance.

The exams were conducted from November 11 to December 6, 2024 , higher pass rates at Kyadondo senior secondary school were seen after having four national Students with 20 points reflecting better preparation and academic achievement.

Director Kyadondo Senior Secondary School Hajji Waliggo lsmail revealed to this website that team work and early preparations for the exams were among the great factors that helped them to have such a great performance.

“Team work led to our success and I thank our teachers for the wonderful work they did to our candidates and the will to win is important but the will to prepare early is vital that’s why we have managed to achieve this.” The happy Hajji said.

Kyadondo SS sat 385 candidates in 2024 UACE and managed to have four national Students including Kayiira Huzaifah BCM/ICT with 20 points.

Kisuule Alaphat BCM/ICT with 20 points
Mugoya Jamal BCM/ICT with 20 points and Namubiru Zahara HIL/ICT with 19 points.

“When you look at the students who performed best are science students,this means that  interest in sciences was visible and we call upon all parents to give us More students beyond no reasonable doubt because we are here to prepare your child at Kyadondo senior secondary school Kilyagonja.”

Therefore the results reflect the positive impact of ongoing education sector reforms and paving the way for more equitable and competitive learning opportunities in the entire community of Uganda director Waliggo lsmail added.

Meanwhile, a total of 141,996 candidates registered for the 2024 UACE examination compared to 110,566 candidates in 2023; an increase of 31,4430 candidates (28.4%). And according t UNEB Executive Director, this was a very significant increase in candidature compared to previous years. Of these, 61,957 (43.6%) were females, and 80, 039 (56.4%) were males.

Males also accounted for 53.1% (16,695) of the increased candidature. It is possible that as a result of the change in admission criteria for primary school teachers, those candidates that would have gone for Grade Three teacher training after Uganda
Certificate of Education (UCE) chose to pursue the UACE pathway.

Centres for the UACE examination increased by 154 (7-3%6) from 2,101 in 2023 to 2,255 in 2024.
