On Thursday 9, January,2025, Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) at there head office at Legacy Towers in Kampala, they alerted the public that they’re ready for the 35th election late this month.
They announced that as students, they are coming together to rally there fellow youth for positivity and prosperity and wealth creation as they are moving from school to job market.
Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) is a body that brings together all students in Uganda and other countries to champion a better and friendly education policies.
The association also coordinates a number of activities and is not limited to advocating for students rights.
UNSA Executive and outgoing council is set to elect 35th national Students council 2025 and will commence from 19th to 22nd January at Seeta High School Mukono and the chief guest is expected be the president of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The outgoing president of UNSA Okoti Francis said that ” The delegates that qualifies to vote for the National Executive council members must be the district executive council representatives comprising of; the chairperson, speaker , female affairs and a student with Disabilities making the four delegates per district and the four Guild leaders from the subscribed universities and other Tertiary institutions.”
And also added that “from within the delegates and candidates are all nominated and vetted therefore the fully nominated candidates fulfilled all the requirements as per UNSA Constitution as amended in 2022 and now are free to start there campaign and be voted”.
The speaker of Uganda National Students Association said that
; “as we conclude the 34th National students council we appreciate all our stakeholders across the country but particularly the president of the republic of Uganda general yoweri Museveni for being supportive and for being proactive on students issues in the Country “
Mugazhu Wilson the aspiring president Uganda National Students Association said that if he gets a chance to be UNSA president he will work hard in order to reunite students across the country and also to elevate this association from central region to other parts of the country because its for all students of Uganda.
