International Business, Science And Technology University (ISBAT) has registered her first point since they joined Pepsi University Football League in the 11th edition.
The side that changed the home ground from Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku to Kanyanya grounds in Kawempe Division have secured their first point and a goal of the season so far after a one all draw against Islamic University in Uganda, the group A table leaders.
Ssentongo Joshua scored for ISBAT while Mumali Faizal rescued a point for IUIU.
With a number of changes on the squad that they had in the first round of the season, ISBAT turned for second round with a unique mentality and they created at least three goal scoring opportunities and in the 35th minute and 42rd, skipper, Ssentongo Joshua went over the bar and forcing Musasizi Sadat into making a world class save before the break.
Edwin Laston’s side looked very comfortable on the ball, energetic and aggressive compared to last year.
The first stanza ended in a barren stalemate and in the first stanza, IUIU was too causal and created no serious threat to the hosts.
ISBAT’s Katende Bahiira was the deadliest player on the pitch and his endless efforts yielded a penalty for the hosts in the 56th minute when he was fouled in the area by Mwesigwa David.

Ssentongo Joshua converted the penalty to become the first ISBAT player to score a goal this season.
However, Kebba’s boys woke up and pressed for an equalizer and with two minutes to final whistle, Mumali Faizal leveled the matters with a calm shot on far lower corner of the net.
The draw left IUIU on top of the table with eight points and ISBAT kept the bottom position with one point.
The league shall continue tomorrow with an epic encounter between Makerere University and Ndejje University at Makerere University Grounds.
